We are excited about the gracious online community we are building here with you on Kindred Mom! We believe that no one is meant to ‘mom alone’ and that’s why the very heart of our mission at Kindred Mom involves building community. Online friendships can be valuable, but there is no substitute for making those kinds of connections with mamas in your own local area.
We want to encourage you to think about how you might intentionally make space in your schedule to connect with other moms face-to-face this summer. It could be with a weekly daytime “Moms & Kids Coffee Hour” gathering, or an “Evening Conversation & Dessert Night” for Mamas to gather without their kids to focus on deepening connections. Either style would meet several times throughout June and July. There is no right or wrong way to do it, just think about what you can do to intentionally get moms meeting together.
For more in-depth ideas and information, visit this post from our team about how to Start Your Own Summer Connection Group.
Our Kindred Mom Vision Team will be hosting our very own daytime Moms & Kids Coffee Hour on Wednesday mornings from 9am-noon in June and July. We would love for you to follow along with that adventure on our Kindred Mom Instagram Stories & feed. You can share your own Summer Connection Group shenanigans on Instagram as well and use the #kindredmom hashtag so we can all see what fun you have with your friends!
Will you join in the vision to bring moms together?
Set the dates/times, invite your friends, and look forward to what will happen through your commitment to community in motherhood! We hope this intentional effort will help you build and strengthen your mama-community!
